Anna Friel and Marc Warren star in Without You, a three-part phsycological thriller due to start on ITV on Thursday 8 December 2011.
The Nicci French novel What to do When unsecured loans Someone Dies is being brought to life in a three-part drama starting on ITV on Thursday 8 December 2011. Called Without You, it features school teacher Ellie Manning (played by Anna Friel), who is happily married to accountant Greg (played by Marc Warren). Two police officers arrive to tell her that Greg has been involved in a fatal crash with an unknown female passenger. Alone, Ellie is overwhelmed by grief and uncertainty about her husband, whom she has never had cause to doubt before.
Comforting Ellie as she mourns are her best friend Gwen Abbot (played by Olivia Poulet), Greg’s best mate Fergus (played by Simon Trinder) and his boss, Joe Foreman (played by Barnaby Kay). Ellie though is unable to accept the coroner’s ruling of accidental death.
Actors in Without You
Anna Friel’s first major role was as Susan Nelson in 1991’s GBH but she became well known for her roles in various soap operas including Beth Jordache in Brookside and Belinda Johnson in Coronation Street. She was Bella Wilfer in the 1998 mini-series Our Mutual Friend and she was the star Charlotte ‘Chuck’ Charles in Pushing Daisies. She is also played Captain Elizabeth Bonny in the TV movie Neverland bad credit loans, which is due to premier on Sky Premiere the day after the first episode of Without You is shown.
